Sarah's Poems
Today Is Thanksgiving By Sarah Hirschi
Today is Thanksgiving
The turkey is fat,
Grandpa is getting his old felt hat,
For today is Thanksgiving!!!
Please cousin pass the pie,
Oh hi Grandpa Mie!
Today we eat our pie and cake,
Tomorrow we have a stomach ache!!
Today is Thanksgiving
And we are all thanking
Our Father who has given us all we have
FOR,
Today is Thanksgiving,
Just think of all you have,
Our turkey, pie, cake
Cranberries,rolls, and drink!!
Today think of all you have,
For today, today is Thanksgiving.
-I actually wrote this poem about a week before Thanksgiving, I was going to post it ON Thanksgiving but could not.
CHRISTMAS By Sarah Hirschi
Christmas bells ring,
Carolers sing,
" All is well,
All is well."
Bright presents round the tree,
Which ones are for me?
Stockings hang on the mantel tall,
Soon to be filled for all.
Presents for the little ones,
Hugs for all,
" Merry, Merry Christmas!"
is the call from all!
Christmas bells ring,
Angels sing,
"All is well
On this holy night!"
-This poem I wrote on 11-26-07 and I do not know why. Maybe it is because I like writing poems to put in my dad's lunches. Well, have to go now!!!!- SARAH A. HIRSCHI

The Problem with Anon
Hello everyone! I am sad about the comments by anonymous because there are no dorks in this family! I changed the comment settings so that the only people able to comment are those that are part of this blog. I also enabled the moderate comments feature so that I can delete inappropriate comments if need be. Hopefully we'll be ok from here on out. My hope is that this will be a positive, building forum for our family.

To anonymous
Judging by the time difference between your comments, you obviously read my post several times and took at least 4 hours of your time to reply. My post took me about thirty seconds to write. So let me ask you: How much time do you have to meddle in the affairs of others of which you have no understanding. Get a job, get a life, and get over your identity issues, anonymous!!
Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving! I'm so stuffed I won't need to eat for days! I cooked my turkey according to the "Cook Book Bible" this year and it turned out great.
I need to apologize for Jared's last remarks - I've already reamed him out and told him he needed to apologize publickly so that should be forthcoming. He has really gotten into blogging, thanks to our family blog, but he doesn't need to think that he is "too cool" for us!
And I think that "anonymous" owes Jeff an apology. At least be brave enough to post your name and own up to your remarks! :)
I guess I need to explain how I totalled my car. I was rubber-necking at an accident on the side of the road and the traffic in front of me came to a complete stop. When I turned my head back to the front, I had just enough time to slam on the brakes which caused the front end of my Sienna to dip down. The car in front of me was a Toyota Tacoma with big tires so the front of my car went mostly under him and my engine sustained all of the damage. It was very sad! We had taken such good care of that car and probably had another 5 years or so on it. Of course we didn't get much from the insurance company which makes the situation all the more depressing.
None of the kids were in the car with me, thank goodness. And I have only had some neck pain which the chiropractor has helped take care of. The humorous part of the situation was that one of my preschoolers parent's had given me a large tupperware full of this traditional Pakistani pudding and it was in the car with me (behind my seat)! The container shattered and the pudding flew everywhere. The policeman kind of freaked out about that! I guess I have to find something to laugh about or I will cry!
Well - that is about it for now....

Think
Consider for a moment if three were eight times five. Now if six was exactly half of ninety divided by two. Then six hundred equals ten. But if eight halves of two cantaloupes were divided thrice, you would be weightless. Equally, the derivative of one is one third of common sense. So you tell me.
P.S. Do you know the best way to catch a fish? Have someone throw it to you. :)

The 2008 Geography Bee
Hi- Sarah here, Last night we had our school geography bee. There were 6 kids participating including Emma & I. Each kid had 14 questions to answer in the preliminary round. After each kid had answered his/hers questions, they were allowed to sit with their families while the jugdes decided who continued into the next round and who was eliminated. Emma and another girl were eliminated and 3 boys & I continued into the next round. We each got 2 questions and all of us except 1 boy missed both questions so we had to answer another question each. I answered my question correctly but the other 2 did not so they were eliminated while I continued onto the championship round. The boy who was in the championship round with me is in the 5th grade just like me! Okay, back to the Bee. In the championship round, there were 3 questions that both of us had to answer. The 1st question was,"What is the name of the small country inside of the city of Rome?" My answer was ,Vatican City, I do not remember the boy's answer. The next 2 questions we both answered wrong. Since I answered 1 question right and the boy missed all 3 questions I WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I have to study, study, study because I have to take a written test in January. If I am one of the top 100 scorers in the WHOLE STATE OF MICHIGAN, I go to the state Bee. Well, I have to go now . BYE!!!!!

Hey, its me jared! This will be my first offical post. I have also attached a hyperlink to this entire blog which i will do every time i post which will usually be daily. Well its pretty boring over at our house with nothing to do so its a good thing that we are having Grandma and Grampa Jones come over for thanksgiving. Hey have you guys heard of the program called linerider? its a super fun game which a video of it is posted on this hyperlinked-blog. The next blog i am going to post will have ahyperlink to lineriders offical website. Linerider is a program where you have a line rider on a sled and you can design a course by digitally animating it under play on the website. The object of linerider is to keep him on his sleigh so he won't be killed by your track however dangerous it may be. So i'm feeling like i am about ready to end this post of mine if you have any comments on the game or questions call me at 770-663-6419. Thank..... Jared http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=linerider&sitesearch=
Hirschi Happenings
Hello everyone! We have had a busy few weeks and here are a few photos of some of the happenings at our house. The arrival of our baby chicks was a big occasion. We have 24 that are alive and thriving. They are much bigger now than the photos shows. They are starting to look like real chickens. And, thankfully, they are no longer in the house!
The girls built and erupted a volcano for school. We had fun learning about different kinds of volcanoes and watching a clip of Old Faithful blowing. Our volcano eruption wasn't quite as dramatic as a geyeser but with red food color, vinegar, and baking soda for chemicals what can you expect?
One of our cats caught a blue jay and we tried to save it's life. We let it go in the woods but don't know for sure if it survived. It was so beautiful!
And of course you can see what the girls wore for Halloween. All the candy is long gone and we are looking forward to all the Thanksgiving and Christmas treats!
The Last Idiot
Well I am officially the last idiot of the family to figure out the picture/joining the blog thing!! Big cheer everyone for Sarah! (Who also totalled her car yesterday - I'm O-KAY)
So here is that picture of Lucy that I have been promising you. This was taken a few weeks ago when she was still cute and we loved her. Now she is naughty.
More later...Sarah

I was trapped........
Hey everyone....it's me.....I know I am late but I have a really good excuse. I was trapped in the comment section of our family blog I could not get out. Aunt Becky the saint of the family was able to save me and now I am officially a "team member" and our family blog recognizes me as such.....sigh.....I love the plan of salvation.
The blog had good reason not to recognize me because you see to describe my life lately would require words that would cause me to be banned to outer darkness with uncle Jeff on our own blog.
So let's see if I can describe just enough of my life to make you send money.....haha.
My car died yet again. It has currently died in MA, PA, and multiple times in IN. I think it is a talent. regardless of that it makes me sad and no one knows what is wrong with my 15 passenger van that Miriam spilled 3 gallons of gas in and has food from our 14 hour trip to Massachusetts flung all over it. Maybe it is on strike because only people who like the smell of gas and like to identify food crumbs can ride in it.
Moving on to the next crisis. Someone.....who will remain nameless....( it's not me) researched, signed a contract, and paid a deposit to a moving company that I felt a prompting to Google this afternoon and let me tell you I have never seen the words "rip off", "scam", "never use", "worst decision I ever made" appear in so many opinions. But the positive is at least I know that it is coming so I will be understanding when they arrive 2 days late to load my stuff and I will have lemonade for them. And I will be soooo understanding when they arrive in Massachusetts with my damaged stuff 2 weeks late. And I will have a check made out to them when they realize they miscalculated how much it would cost to move me.
I think that is about all I can post today without sounding like I need therapy.
So to re-cap:
I am moving to Massachusetts on December 4,5,6, or 7 the moving company chooses.
My house is brand new, it has a small but enviable location problem.....I can see the back of the gas station from 4 of my windows.
I am 45 minutes from church.
Seminary starts in Massachusetts at 5:30 am.
The church building in Springfield hires a security guard.
Madeline turns 17 tomorrow.
Zach is at BYU...... I think I need to go back to BYU and have "do -overs"
Brian has been in Massachusetts since August.....Brian who?

Jeremiah's Lego Pictures

Hey, it's Jeremiah. This is a photo (Sorry for the quality) of some of my favorite lego minifigs posing in front of one of my latest creations, the...well, I haven't actually come up with a name yet, so it'll just be: A cool walker thingy. Nice name, huh? From left to right: An alien guy that will be in my movie project "Syndicate", "Crazy Tom", a guy me and my friend like a lot, "Commander Irik", from the project "Blak Gate", a pilot guy and Mercernary sniper also from "Black Gate", and on the far right, Eric and Jason from "Short Circuited". The walker will be in Syndicate. So, I have three parallel projects. (Only Short Circuited is in the principle photography stage, however.) The weapons I got off of Brickarms, a website where you can get expensive but incredibly detailed and high-quality lego-compatible weapons.
The top photo is simply a full size fighter I made. It's actually my first where a minifig can fit inside. And speaking of the minifig, it's pretty darn awesome, even though hard to see.
Hannah's 2 cents (typed for her by mom)
I like my sisters. I like to serve them and be kind to them. Sometimes I play meanly, but I want to be nice. I would play nicely, be kind, loving, and do what my parents say. I would like to sleep quietly and not interrupt my sisters sleeping. I would like to not interrupt my parents when they are talking. And I would like to be healthy, follow the Holy Ghost, never follow Satan, and I will do what the Holy Ghost says, and I would be friendly. My favorite things are horses, dogs, cats, pigs, grasshoppers, chickens, hmm, and thats it!
Not much going on
Hey this is Martha. Hope nothing is going wrong. We are going to build a barn next year! When is someone coming to visit us? I hope someone comes soon. We are going hiking so I have to go. Bye.
Hey! This is Sarah. This Halloween I got 144 pieces of candy. Not much compared to last year's 175 pieces. Oh well, there is always next year [my LAST year!] We didn't have any school yesterday so we were forced by mom to make applesauce. we made around 60 jars. We don't have anymore to make[yes!] Well,my sisters are nagging me so I have to go now.

Post Script
Hello again. You cannot post a picture in the "post a comment" window. On the "Hoards of Ords" main page upper right hand corner click on "new post"(blue font) that will take you to the posting window where you can add photos to your post. If you cannot do this then it means you have not set up an account yet.
Photo posting
Hey ding dongs. To post a photo you simply move your mouse over the icons in the tool bar at the top of the posting window. A message will appear telling you the definition of that icon. When you see the one that says "ADD IMAGE", click it and then it will give you some choices for importing photos. Click "browse" and it will allow you to search files on your computer. When you find the photo you want to submit, just double click the file, and it will automatically post it for you. Then just choose your format and click "download image". If this doesn't work then go outside with your camera, tie a rock around it and throw it into the air. When I get it I will look at your lovely photos then I will tie my own rock to it and throw it to the next person.
Hey morons
Is this the retard site? I enjoy the special education sessions here. Maybe we should have the Ord special olympics? Is there a steak eating competition? Hmmmmphhh. No i didn't fart.
Anyways, Boston is 4, Gabe is 2, I am 31, and Holly is pregnant. Being induced this Saturday(Nov 3), another boy. Girls suck. hee hee. Boston is recovering from his surgery. He had his tonsils and adnoids removed. He was superman(not superfag, from the latest movie) and Gabe was a pumpkin. I froze my ace off walking them round the neighborhood. (stupid frozen neighborhood).
Work is going good. I have lots of jobs going. I have three employees, two of which are Hispanic, so I have been learning spanish. Muy bien. We moved into another house around the corner from our other one. We finally finished remodeling the upstairs, and we'll do the basement sometime between now and never. The neighbors dog is trying to tell me something, i can't quite make it out. He's crazy. Be right back.
