"I'm Superman!"

Ok, so we haven't posted for a while and I thought I would let you all know that Superman now lives at our house. Max is convinced that HE is Superman. He is obsessed with superheroes, especially the Incredibles and Superman. So he found the pink mask the other day and the cape and has since been wearing them all over the house. He puts his hands on his hips and does a funny little pose (as seen above) and then takes off running. He has also revealed his identity to the secretary at school, and the checkout lady at Costco. However, Superman has been doing some evil deeds in our house, like consistently throwing bouncy balls and marbles in the toilet. He has also been seen putting his monster truck in "time out" for no apparent reason. Go figure.

Anyway, the rest of our family is doing well. The kids had a great Christmas and the Wii is a huge hit. We are just trying to get through our grey Pittsburgh winter. Spring can't come soon enough!

Snow in Georgia!

I know this is nothing compared to the other snow pictures out there! But since it is so rare for Atlanta, it's newsworthy! The kids had so much fun. The only bummer was that it happened on Saturday so they didn't get to miss school! We didn't even have proper "snow gear". By the end of the day all the socks in the house were dirty because they had been using them as mittens all day!

Michiganders for Mitt

Hello everyone!

We've been busy in January! We learned a little about politics and made some phone calls for the Romney campaign. Note the photos with the Mitt Mobile- pretty fun!
We also went on a cross-country ski trip and skied two miles to a rustic cabin (no electricity or running water) It was quite the adventure - especially when Hannah needed to go the bathroom while we were skiing in! Lucky for us nobody else was around because the only option was to hold her out in front of me buck naked and let her do her thing. She screamed her head off but it was the lesser of two evils because I didn't want her to wet her snowsuit in freezing temperatures. So in the end we all survived and added some choice family memories to our list.
Now David is in Asia for two weeks so the girls and I are holding down the fort here.
Our puppy is the star of her obedience class and will be taking her Canine Good Citizen test next week. Go Nalla!
I'll have to send more updates later but now it is late here in Michigan....

grandma

Hey, I finally got on and looked at all the pictures. Great stuff. We need to see everyone's Christmas. Dad and I need to get a digital camera. Like we have such interesting stuff going on here. Actually, we have been applying for Social Security. Some fun. Keep working so we will get our checks. It has been pouring here for about a week. Walking on our lawn is like walking on a sponge. There is water everywhere. Actually, we are tired of it. Well, keep blogging. I promise to be better about checking. love you all GMa
