I know, I know it is a Christmas miracle Jenny, everyone's favorite, is actually posting on the family blog. SO how in the heck are you all? Okay, enough of the formalities let's get down to "bizness":)
Jeff;
Thanks so much for taking Zach with you to Oregon you are awesome. I sent you a box with the boys presents in it on last Friday. I am sending you a envelope with something for you and Holly....hmmm wonder what would be in an envelope? Also, I wrote you a very nice e-mail awhile ago telling you how awesome you are but you never wrote back just want to make sure you got it and I did not accidentally send it to Patrick Dempsey, my other brother :)
David;
Your awesome brother note is coming when you least expect it :)
Becky;
I have check for you.... I mean, it's in the mail :) I left you a message on your phone.
Mom and Dad;
Did you get a package from Amazon? Yes, I sent mom and dad their present already...have you?
Okay, that is all of my "bizness" and I finished just in time Natalie just woke up and it is a happy Monday morning. I think I could learn to love this family blog thing. Think of all the harrassing I could do. You may already regret the day I discovered this fun :)
I love you all.

...and Miah was a grump. So we made him suffer as much as possible, looked at the way overpriced pumpkins, got in the car and went home. The next week we went to Wal-Mart and got our pumpkins for $3 each. Sad, but true.:)

Harvest Time!
Hi Everyone! My photos are not rotated so sorry about making you crane your neck. I'll add more in a bit when I get some current ones of the barn. The tomatoes are from the garden, sunflowers too, and a shot of me showing a horse for the first time!
It is fall here in Michigan and we are in the middle of harvest and preparing for the winter. I love the colors and crisp cool air. Our garden has produced TONS this year and we just pulled out all of our pumpkins. We have a lot of decorative gourds too - they grew up the fence, on the sunflowers, in the corn... I've been canning beets, tomatoes, and am hoping to can pie pumpkins and potatoes this week. On top of that is the daunting task of pulling out all the old veggies and preparing the garden to winter over. Wish us luck in all our farming tasks!
David left for a 22 day trip to Asia a few days ago and we have been mourning his absence. He wishes he could be here because he has been building a barn for our animals and it isn't quite finished yet. I am painting the barn a gorgeous red color and it looks great against the fall colors. I end up spending more time admiring it than I do painting:)
All the animals are doing well and we must report that one of our hens is actually a rooster! We had been wondering about his masculine traits and then when he did his first feeble crow we didn't wonder any more. (do roosters go through puberty? because his crow sounded like a thirteen year old boy whose voice is changing)
