So we went to the pumpkin patch with some friends... Max loved it-there were little bikes to ride on, animals to pet and a fun corn maze.
Julia and Emily had fun with their friend Connor...

...and Miah was a grump. So we made him suffer as much as possible, looked at the way overpriced pumpkins, got in the car and went home. The next week we went to Wal-Mart and got our pumpkins for $3 each. Sad, but true.:)

Here's Julia and Max after church yesterday. Max thinks my old broken camera is pretty cool, so when Bernd wanted to take his picture, he went and got "his" camera too.

I really did not get into Halloween costumes this year like I usually do. Maybe it was because I had children who were asking to be things like "mercenaries" and "sword masters". So the night before Halloween, Emily and I made the Roman costume out of cardboard and a piece of red fabric I had laying around. For Jeremiah, Halloween is raiding other peoples' treat bags. Kate is never happy about her costume, as you can see in this picture. Julia decided to be a hobo at the last minute, and Max just knows that he IS Superman.

I'm so glad that my boys aren't the only ones who grump around like that! Way to go Miah - he's keeping up with the Jones's

All the grumpy teens bring back fine memories... growing and selling pumpkins sounds like a plan. those kids are so cute. The grandma likes this stuff.
